Academic Career

Our Postgraduate Program

Our university has established itself as one of the most important in northern Chile, a unique territory located in Earth’s driest area, the Atacama Desert, right between the Pacific ocean and the Andes mountain range. These factors have marked the professionals who are trained in our classrooms, who give meaning to our goal of contributing to human talent development.

We are a regional state university, committed to being a state-of-the-art higher education institution that contributes to the entire country’s development, starting from the Antofagasta region. Hence, we have concentrated our work on expanding and improving undergraduate teaching from sciences to humanities, promoting research through innovative projects, consolidating our relationship with the community and various organizations in regional, national, and foreign scales, as well as strengthening undergraduate teaching.

The University of Antofagasta’s doors are open to all who wish to be a part of it. Here, you will find opportunities for your professional and personal development, which will allow you to make transcendent contributions to your families, communities, and the country.
